Our Story

In 1994 Chad Holtz, owner of Holtz Grain Ltd., rented his first farm where he grew organic buckwheat. He then expanded to provide custom combine services while he worked on completing his Diploma in Agriculture at University of Guelph.
Chad and his mom, Kathryn, formed a partnership in 2001 and bought the property in Moorefield which now  features the company's grain elevator. Over the years, this small farm has grown into an incorporated business known as Holtz Grain Ltd.,  and owns and rents farms in Wellington, Dufferin, and Grey counties. Holtz Grain Ltd. primarily grows wheat, soybeans, canola, and corn.
